Why the heck spend $17000 when you can buy a pair of Swarovski EL range for $4000 and they just as good if not better ?

Because this utilizes Gen lll night vision, has laser range finding ability out to 12,000 meters (not 2,000 like in your example) / runs on a wavelength that isn’t detectable by enemy night vision, can integrate with current military gps / ballistic solution technologies (killswitch, ATAC, exc…), has a full digital heads up display, and requires no field maintenance. You’re using the “just as good” logic (which is always tossed around comparing two items which are clearly not equals) to compare a force multiplier that’s fielded by Delta Force, DEVGRU, Marine Raiders, and Ranger Regiment, to a pair of binoculars sold to rich hunters. This isn’t apples to apples, it’s dial up internet in 1994 to 5G internet in 2022. The price is appropriate for what it is…. The issue here is you don’t know what you’re leaving a review about. Long story short, if your credit card isn’t paid for by the Department of Defense you really don’t need to worry about what these do, or how much they cost because the majority of their features aren’t even available to you.

Worked well I bought it for bow hunting and killed a muledeer at 68 yards with a 5deg angle well worth the 17,000 dollar price tag. Mule Deer I killed was a doe she stood up as soon as I let go and missed the buck
