This is thermal? Manufacturer Answer

This is not a thermal like a traditional thermal camera with a screen to see heat signatures. This device is designed to look for a heat signature relative to the surroundings. You scan it back and forth and the LEDs will light up as it crosses a temperature differential. It was designed to help hunters find deer/prey that may have been injured and ran away and may be in tall grass or thick brush.

Does what it is supposed to do very well. REmember it is not an IR camera, so it measures differences in heat, and does not give an actual spot heat value. Well built. Pros: easy to use, well built Cons: takes some time to get used to it

Helpful Negative Review heatseeker does not work as described by hunter, August 1, 2017
tested on a house cat at 5 yards and got no reading then tested on a doe at 50 yards and got no reading, both tests were in the shade, but will give a reading on a sunlit tree at 10 yards.would never recommend this product to any one.
