Can you mount this night vision to a rifle or is it too sensitive? Expert Answer

Due to the delicate nature of the device attaching it to a firearm may not be advisable. A dedicated night vision scope that is rated to handle the recoil of a firearm would be a better option.

Why does the add say Gen-3+ but the spec says Gen 2+ "Level 3"? Manufacturer Answer

This could be a mistake. Gen 3 will be listed as 3AL3 or 3NL3 for level 3. Gen 2 will show AL3 or NL3

The NW1 unit has a good quality tube with no visible blemishes. The intensification was clean and clear for being Gen-2. J arm has some play that can be remedied with tape. Came with plenty of accessories and a spec sheet for the individual tube.

The AGM PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular is a rugged, lightweight, multi-purpose night vision device that has repeatedly proven itself in combat. The PVS-14 design was originally commissioned by the United States Military to enable nighttime operations. This monocular is used globally in some of the most challenging environments. The PVS-14 can be used as a handheld device, or mounted on the included head harness. With the proper accessories, it can also be mounted to combat helmets, providing night vision capabilities to daytime optical sights. The PVS-14 monocular conforms to 810G Military standards and demonstrates the highest quality form and function. The PVS-14 monocular is a full-featured unit. Weighing less than 12.4 ounces/ 350 grams. The unit includes manual gain control, an automatic bright light shut-off feature, and a built-in Infrared (IR) illuminator. The bright light shut-off feature ensures that the high-quality photocathode tube is protected. AGMs PVS14 includes an array of optional accessories to support virtually any operation.image
